Response to COVID-19

As your local municipal utility, our employees are our most valuable asset. In order to provide safe, efficient and reliable service to our customers, we will continue to put employee safety at the fore front. To limit the community spread of the COVID-19 virus while maintaining the resources needed to run our operations, we are taking the following steps:

  • We will continue to serve our customers and respond to outages as we implement the following changes:

    • The utility office will be closed to the public until further notice. We encourage you to communicate with us via email or telephone.

    • We have many payments options available. You can pay your bill online at https://www.paymentservicenetwork.com, at our office outside drop box, or by mail.

  • We are following guidelines recommended by the CDC for personal hygiene and have increased disinfection methods and frequency of all high touch areas.

    We understand the concern and uncertainty many people are feeling regarding the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). We want to assure you that Boscobel Utility is here to serve you.

     

     We are closely monitoring this rapidly evolving situation, and our utility is prepared and equipped to continue delivering you safe, reliable service and to responding to outages. 

     

     

     

    We have staffing plans in place to ensure our electric distribution, water, wastewater and customer service team members can continue to serve you.

    • If you experience an outage, please contact the Utility office at (608) 375-5002 from 7:00am – 4:00pm, after hours contact (608) 375-5429.

    •  All employees have been instructed to give their full attention to social distancing and good health habits that help prevent the spread of communicable diseases such as COVID-19, and we have further enhanced sanitation within our facilities.

    • If you are having difficulty paying your bill, please contact us at (608) 375-500.We want you to know that at this time customers who are unable to pay will not be disconnected for nonpayment; however, to ensure that we can continue providing the service you expect and deserve, we ask that customers able to continue timely payment of their bills please do so.

      We will work to keep this information current as circumstances may continue to evolve. 

      Our utility has been providing safe, reliable, local service in Boscobel for more than 120 years. We are all in this together as a community, and our commitment to you remains unchanged.
